Departure of FOREL for the 2024 Greenland Expedition

To celebrate World Oceans Day, what could be better than starting a polar oceanographic expedition for greater knowledge and protection of the polar regions ? FOREL and his crew are leaving today Lorient (France), his home port in Morbihan, for scientific missions with the support of the Forel Heritage Association.

The Forel Heritage Association would like to thank the Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly, its visitors and the city of Lorient for their warm welcome at the quayside next to the Pen Duick’s. The last few weeks at the dock have been very busy.

Return planned to its home port in August. Until then, may this first expedition to Greenland be a success.

Fair winds and following seas to the FOREL crew.
